Kilimanjaro Climb for 22q13 Deletion Foundation

Our Mt. Kilimanjaro climb was a huge success. All four climbers reached the summit on May 29, 2007 (click your refresh button twice to see the other two images on the homepage). The goal of our climb was to raise awareness of the 22q13 deletion syndrome (www.22q13.org) and raise money to help fund the 22q13 Deletion Foundation.

Kilimanjaro is the tallest free-standing mountain rise in the world, rising 4,600m (15,000 ft) from the base, and includes the highest peak in Africa at 5,895m (19,340 ft), providing a dramatic view of it's glaciers and the surrounding plains.
